About the Artist

Linda Everett is an award-winning artist who lives in Baldwin City, Kansas. Recently, much of her work has been commissioned art. The sentimental quality of her portraits and the nostalgic touch she displays in paintings of homes, farms, and landscapes have made her watercolors in demand. Her reasonable prices make original artwork accessible for many people. Her landscapes reflect her love for the Kansas prairies. Family homesteads and portraits are Linda's specialty. Her goal is not to merely create a painting, but to capture the essence of a family home or loved one.

Her interest in watercolor painting was sparked in 1998 when she took a class under the instruction of renowned artist Louis Copt. It was then she discovered watercolor painting to be challenging yet rewarding. In 2002, she was selected as one of the top 16 winners of the Kansas Postcard Series XXV competition.

Linda resides in Baldwin City with her husband, Mike, and daughter, Kara. She also has a son, Kurt, who lives in the Kansas City area. Linda was born and raised in the small Western Kansas town of Quinter. She graduated from Fort Hays State University with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree. Because of her faith in God, Linda believes her ability and passion to paint are gifts from Him, and it is her desire to give back to Him through her work.
